Why is Claritin-D prescribed?

Loratadine is used to relieve hay fever and allergy symptoms, including sneezing; runny nose; and red, itchy, tearing eyes. Loratadine is in a class of medications called antihistamines. What special precautions should I follow?

Before taking loratadine,
